These photographs explain how Barry Coulter, owner of O Gauge Train Repair, created this hand painted custom backdrop for his o gauge model trains.
This photograph shows the layout before the backdrop was built.
Barry painted the scene in grisaille (graytones) first. Then came the transparent color glazes for a full color backdrop.
